I try to learn a new word every month; this started with my hearing the
word alacrity on "Jeopardy", I immediately grabbed a dictionary
and looked it up: Websters stated that it meant "Joyful Eagerness"

My word for April 1996 was trepidation. Meaning: Great alarm or
dread.
My word for June 1996 was skullduggery. Meaning:
Crafty or dishonest behavior.
My word for July 1996 was vituperate. Meaning: To berate. To
scold severely.
You guessed it, I discontinued my "word for the month".

Patrick's and my anniversary is September 11th...*sigh* the date makes for a crappy celebration at times. We have been together since September 11th, 1998.
