Sample Innovation Databank Profiles
Information within sample profiles for three innovations is drawn from the public web sites of the actual offerings:
- The Prison Entrepreneurship Program
- Donors Choose
- FosterEd Initiative
A few introductory points:
- Although the template used for these examples does not address "how" hypotheses explicitly, it should(!).
- The examples are of social innovation, in part because social examples tend to include web sites that tell a story of the offering's development and operations. Direct quotes from the web sites illustrate this source. Also, as social innovation examples, each profile includes two parts:
- A set of standard headings pertinent to all types of innovation.
- A separate matrix based on the prototype's social innovation differential (assuming frequent inclusion of multiple types of change, with multiple change catalysts, and multiple segments of customers or service delivery).
- Each profile also includes sample search tags associated with template headings. This is to help illustrate that a profile such as the "Prison Entrepreneurship Program" could result from a search based on any of the various tags listed, such as:
- Corrections
- Entrepreneurship Education
- Economic Development
- Behavioral Change
- Capability Change
- Partnership with State Agency
- and more.
- These examples emphasize content, not visual presentation. That presentation requires skills beyond mine.
