APS 2006 was at the Marriot Marquis right in the middle of Times Square. It was also during Fleet Week, so there were thousands of sailors in uniform mixed into the massive hordes of people here for Memorial Day weekend.

The blooming, buzzing confusion that is Times Square. It took me a little while to find the hotel with all the visual stimuli.

The APS reception was a fine indulgence; food, open bar, and chocolate fondue fountains. Steve dips in.

Dan finds new life for empty champagne glasses.

The conference was right across the street from the C o S, I wonder if they knew that there were 3000 psychologists next door.

Times Square was filled with colorful characters.

Colorful costumes and convoluted cosmologies abound.

New York is known for its acceptance of diverse lifestyles. Even plushies have their place at the smorgasbord of love.

The American Museum of Natural History, one block from my brother Mike’s new apartment.

Strawberry Fields, the John Lennon memorial is also nearby.

Chris and Christy also just happened to be in town for the weekend.
