Dr. Steven A. Miller. The good doctor enticed me into visiting and continuing our intellectual adventures. After being indoors working on the house and then hibernating during the brief but intense Michigan winter weather, this trip was a nice respite.

My trip started on an academic theme with a talk at UCLA. Here is the famous Royce Hall.

Fortunately, the twins were in town. We went out for a nice dinner on the Hermosa Beach pier for my ''birthday.''
