The famous La Brea tar pits.
One of the actual tar pits remaining in the park. A good portion of the Wilshire Boulevard area is sitting on millions of gallons of tar.
I met up with Christin Coffeen in Beverly Hills.
We went out for dinner at one of the trendy but hidden places where the stars sometimes visit. I ordered the only vegetarian entrée on the menu and was pleased that it was quite good.
I went to see the old city area, El Pueblo de Los Angeles. At first I could not find the historical buildings because the place was jam packed with tourist trinket stalls, etc.
El Pueblo had an exhibition of Hispanic art from the collection of Cheech Marin, himself a cultural icon.
