I flew into Osaka and checked in to my home away from home, a Capsule Hotel. It was quite an experience and I enjoyed using the hot tubs and sauna in the basement.

I was right down the street from the Namba district, where the ocean going ships once came to port. Now it is the big nightlife area.

The Osaka Dome really does resemble a flying saucer, perhaps this was what Fard Muhammad saw in his vison of a UFO from Japan coming over to America to rescue all of the Black people.

Osaka Castle is a modern reconstruction in concrete, the inside is a museum.

The formidable castle walls built by the command of Japan's first Shogun did not stop the army of the second Shogun from destroying the castle.

A view of the castle grounds from the Osaka Museum.

Osaka's Botanical Gardens.

The stupa from a Buddhist temple poking through the trees.

The famous bridge of Sumiyoshi Taisha, the shrine to the Shinto gods of the sea.

Shitenno-ji, one of the first Buddhist temples in Japan. Unfortunately, none of the original buildings from 593 CE stand today.

I enjoyed pouring water over the moss covered rock.

Statue of a Buddhist monk. I met two live versions of the same in Osaka.

This is not Osaka Castle, but merely a copy created to confuse maurading Shogun and foreign invaders.
