Chichen Itza- Part 4

Photo Index

The entrance to Chichen Itza suggested that we were in Disney Land

Because of the impressiveness of the ruins, hordes of tourists arrive in busses.

After being surrounded by Mexicans for a few days, the English speaking crowds made us think that we could be at a theme park in the states.

The great pyramid of Kukulkan

The temple of the warriors, next to the colonade with what seems like a thousand columns

The facial carvings on the corners of some structures reminded me of the carvings of the native tribes in the Pacific Northwest
