The coast, as seen from Captain Mark’s whale watching cruise boat.
An eagle swoops to catch a fish in the water.
We saw a pod of pilot whales, sometimes called “pothead” whales because of

The northwest tip of Cape Breton is home to the only Tibetan
Buddhist monestary in North America. The Rinpoche (head monk) liked the
mountain-like area and moved the monestary from Colorado in the late
1970s. At first, the monks lived on seaweed, but they eventually accepted
eating fish. Capt’n Mark said that lots of hippies used to hang out here
back in the day.
