Now, let’s get into the actual newsletter. We have been hard at work preparing for our first tournament of the season which will take place throughout the weekend of November 12th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since tryouts concluded, we have been meeting for team practices every Sunday and Tuesday. Additionally, we just started adding in one more day a week of challenge matches which should help get us into competition mode.
Speaking of upcoming tournaments, Jeremy has been hard at work scheduling matches for us and we are excited to share our initial schedule (graphic design brought to you by Jesse).
As you can see, we’ll be playing regular season matches in Cincinnati, Denison, and Chicago. After those tournaments wrap up, we will travel to Philadelphia for the Club Squash National Championships and play at the brand new Specter Squash Center which boasts 18 courts including two glass ones. We should be able to provide you with the dates for this tournament very soon.
For any of these matches, we would greatly appreciate having support. If you’re thinking of coming to cheer us on please let us know and we can give you more information. Additionally, Gaurav is working on making our gear available for friends and families so you can rep some Michigan Squash merch at our matches and around town.
