Local Organization with a number of programs that are Older Adult specific such as: Grandparents as Parents, Medicare-Medicaid Assistance, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and Tax Assistance. CSS produces an annual Resource Directory which provides contact information by area of need for Washtenaw County services.

Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living (AACIL) assists people with disabilities and their families in living full and productive lives.  Their mission is to assure the equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living and economic self-sufficiency of people with disabilities in the community. The four core services are of CIL are Information and Referral (I&R), Peer Support, Advocacy, and Independent Living Skill Development.

Large social service organization that has an Adult Day program. Other programs include counseling, substance abuse, home support services, and Senior AIDES (paid employment programs for those who are income eligible and age 55 and over).

The Housing Bureau of Seniors works throughout Washtenaw County to assist, enable, and empower older adults to live in appropriate and affordable housing. There are no fees for Housing Bureau for Seniors services. Assistance is largely provided by trained volunteers. The Housing Bureau holds programs such as: Homeshare, Property Tax Foreclosure Prevention, Counseling and Information, Elderly Eviction Prevention, and volunteer opportunities.

The center is open to any senior age 55 years and older. The center offers a variety of classes, recreational activities and vital services, health related screenings, current senior issue updates, enrichment classes, special events, day and extended trips. The Center provides a safe, friendly place for socialization, camaraderie and fun! On the website there is detailed information about programs and hours as well as an opportunity to download the current newsletter.

The goal of Turner Geriatric Clinic Social Work is to help patients, as well as other members of the community, get personalized help to achieve the highest possible level of functioning. Turner Geriatric Clinic social workers, recognizing the interaction between physical and emotional health, offer individual and group counseling in the clinic or in the home setting to both older adults and family members. A wide range of support groups, educational programs, volunteer peer counseling and day care for elderly with dementia are also available. Information and support for caregivers is provided by telephone, email and through individual and group sessions with experienced social workers. Computer training, fitness programs, blood pressure screening and other wellness programs are offered at the Turner Senior Resource Center , 2401 Plymouth Road , Suite C, Ann Arbor , MI .
