Any resident of Ingham, Clinton , and Eaton Counties who does not have other drug coverage can qualify for this program. There is no income or age restriction associated with this program. People who present a CAPP card at a participating pharmacy can expect to save about 20 percent off the retail price of a typical “market basket” of drugs. Savings will typically be between 5 and 25 percent. At this time you can apply online for the discount plan

The JCPDP card is a way for residents of Jackson county without prescription coverage to purchase prescription drugs at lower prices from their pharmacy. Savings depend on the kind of medicines prescribed, where residents shop, and if the pharmacy is already having a sale on medicine. To use the card, take the prescription and the JCPDP card to the pharmacy. Almost all pharmacies participate, even out-of-state pharmacies that are part of the large chains like RiteAid and CVS. This program is being sponsored by Jackson County Board of Commissioners, Jackson County Health Plan, and the Jackson County Health Department. Applications for the program can be found on-line and can be submitted through the internet or by mail.

To qualify you must be a Livingston County resident, that is disabled or over the age 60 and have no other prescription coverage. There are no enrollment costs to applicants and the program provides an average of 20%-30% discount off of prescription drug prices at participating pharmacies. The discounts vary depending on the prescription and not all prescriptions are covered.

Enrollment in the Livingston County Prescription Drug Discount Program allows seniors the opportunity to qualify for other services. Enrollments can be taken by phone, FAX or mail. For further information, call LCDPH at 517-546-9850, or download the pre-enrollment form to get started!

Macomb County Senior Discount Prescription Plan

To enroll in this program a patient must be age 60 or older, a resident of Macomb County and have no prescription coverage through a medical insurance. Also any Macomb County resident between the ages of 18-59 currently without prescription coverage may pay the $14 annual fee to enroll themselves and their dependents in the Macomb County Under 60 Discount Prescription Program. Discounts are available on the regular retail prices of many brand-name and generic drugs. This program is available at no cost and can be used at local pharmacies across the country. A unique mail-order pharmacy arrangement is also available.

To apply for the card you must provide your name, address, phone number, birth date, social security number and your spouse's name (if married and your spouse is 60 years of age). The application may be completed via the telephone at (586) 469-6313 and only takes a few minutes. Oakland County , Michigan in cooperation with National Prescription Administrators, Inc. (NPA) provides Oakland County residents with a cost saving prescription benefit plan. Enroll and submit application online.

Age 60+

This program is available to permanent Oakland County residents age 60 and over regardless of income as long as they do not have other primary prescription coverage. The program allows for savings on generic and brand name medications at a national network of participating independent and chain pharmacies. There are presently no enrollment fees or monthly fees associated with participation in the program. This program makes it possible for you to acquire your medications at a reduced rate.

Age 59-

Oakland County Government has a new prescription savings program available to Oakland County residents age 59 and under. This program can save an average of 40% off generic medications and 15% off brand name medications.

Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) a community outreach agency that maintains a low-income resource guide online for other suggestions for prescription or health care resources.

Washtenaw County Prescription Plan (WCPP)

The WCPP is a program for County residents of all ages with limited, exhausted, or no prescription drug coverage. The WCPP helps these County residents to purchase their prescriptions at a discount off of the full retail price. Discounts may range from 5-25%. Many county pharmacies participate. There are no income or age restrictions. You can enroll by phone or download the application from the above website and either fax or mail the application in.

 

Wayne County Prescription Card

Wayne County 's HealthChoice, together with PharmaCare and CVS/pharmacies offer the Wayne County Seniors County Card Prescription Discount Program. This free program is designed to assist seniors who have no co-pay coverage (if someone has a deductible, but no co-pay, you still qualify). County Card provides Wayne County residents age 60 and above a 5%-30% discount on prescription drug purchases.
