This new math seminar consists of talks given by grad students on cool yet non-technical math. Rather than research-level talks, this is a great place to come talk about a random math video you watched in undergrad or an accessible niche theorem you came across. This is also an opportunity for you to share some interesting math with people outside your field!
The idea is that talks are enjoyable for people in all areas of math, so the prerequisites should be relatively low, but still at the level of grad students. Pictures are encouraged! If you are interested in giving a talk, you can fill out this form or contact us!
For the Fall 2026 semester, the seminar will meet Mondays at 3-4pm in EH4088.
We have a MCommunity group! You can join math-grad-show-and-tell at MCommunity to get emails about the upcoming seminars! You can also contact the organizers via math-grad-show-and-tell-requests.
Current organizers: Maria Madrugo (mmadrugo) and Zach Deiman (zdeiman)
