Michigan Men's Club Soccer - About Us
The University of Michigan Men's Club Soccer team is a
student run
club that allows for completive play, without the time commitment of a
varsity program. The club has been around for many years, and has had
much success including winning the 2006 National Championship in
Arizona. The 2007 team looks ahead to a new season with high hopes. The
team has many returning players, many who will be playing for the club
for their final year, along with some new faces. Our new head coach,
David Hebestreit is taking over, and plans on repeating the success of
last season.
The club team does receive funding and support from the
university
and sponsors such as Big Ten Burrito, but it is financially necessary
(at least for now) to have it's members pay dues. Dues usually range
between 350-500 dollars per season.
