For Initiates and Members

Meetings
OXE meetings are a chance for members to hear a presentation, enjoy a free dinner, and get to know other ChEs. Usually the invited speakers are representatives from various chemical engineering companies. This semester we will also be trying to incorporate a graduate student panel into our speaker line-up. These presentations are a great chance to learn about different chemical engineering opportunities for students.

Service
OXE strives to give back to the University and Ann Arbor community by hosting and participating in a range of service events. Past events include Detroit Partnership Day, volunteering at the University Hospital, cleaning up the Arb, and volunteering at Professor Emeritus Wilkes’ home. If you have an idea for a service event, please contact our service chairs!

Tutoring
OXE provides free tutoring for all sophomore chemical engineers once a week during both fall (ChE 230) and winter (ChE 330 and ChE 341) semesters. This semester tutoring hours are held in the Ugli basement from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sundays and in the ChE study room from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesdays.
