My science page

My name is Josh. I go to Edmonson Middle School in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I am 11 years old, and I am in the sixth grade.
This year, science was very fun. I hink that the best thing was a projectthat we did called the Great Ocean Rescue. We would be given a case to solve, and we would be given hints on theTV. Then, we would try to decide where the things were going on. All of the cases we solved delt with the enviornment. This was what I think was the best thing that we did.

Another thing we did was test for acid rain. We took things like old coffee cans and set them outside, to collect rain. Sometimes, even snow would fall inside! After they collected enough rain to test, we took them inside, to test the rain.We tested the rain and snow two different days. The first day, the rain did not have very much acid in it. The second day, the acid content in the rain was a little bit higher, but not very high. This is very good, considering the airport and all of the factories in our area. This is my third favorite thing this year.

The last thing I want to talk about is a cell project that we did. For this project, we used gumballs, zip-loc bags ,dish soap, and other things like yarn. What we did was we made a cell model. We used the dishsoap to represnt the cell membrame. We used the gumball to repersant the necules. this was my second favorite thing about science this year.
