Valve linear with somewhat rostrate, wedge-shaped ends, or liear-elliptical with rounded ends. Axial area narrow. Central area a broad, transverse fascia. Striae radiate toward the middle of the valve, strongly convergent at the ends(Patrick and Reimer 1966).
