  • This taxon is usually found among the periphyton (Lowe 1974).


  • Synonyms (Stoermer and Yang 1969)

  • Ecology
    This taxon is considered to be a brackish water form and is mainly found in flowing waters with a pH of 7 (Lowe 1974).
