Candida loves to play with dolls and toys. She often helps gather firewood for the house. Although though she does not know what she wants to be when she grows up, she is still doing well in school. She lives with her mother, father, two brothers and two sisters. When the weather is good, she often goes outside to play sports with her friends and neighbors.

Sanitation and hygiene are an issue in her community; the family uses a crude latrine as a toilet and the wood/straw house is in poor condition. The nearest health care worker is about 45 minutes away, making emergency treatment difficult.
