Mita is a sweet, shy girl. She loves to play and pass time with her neighborhood friends. Mita has a mother named Rebati who is working as a housewife. Her father, Mitu is a peasant farmer. The local language they speak is Oriya.

Mita's house is in poor condition. The family does not have their own latrine which creates a low level of hygiene. There is a lack of access to clean drinking water, creating an increase in water-borne diseases.
