APICS—The Educational Society for Resource Management APICS is a not-for-profit international educational organization respected throughout the world for its education and professional certification programs. With more than 70,000 individual and corporate members in 20,000 companies worldwide, APICS is dedicated to using education to improve the business bottom line.
Arkansas Partnership for Technology Exchange Winrock International is a private, nonprofit organization established in 1985. Building on the half century-long tradition of its predecessor organizations, Winrock works in the United States and some 40 countries around the world each year. Programs are supported by grants and contracts from national and international agencies, foundations, corporations, and gifts from public and private sources.
Auto Industry Action Group (AIAG) AIAG is a not-for-profit trade association of North American vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies The Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies (CIMS) is a university-industry-government collaboration designed to increase the competitiveness of US manufacturing companies in the global marketplace. CIMS is located in Rochester, NY on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology.
Chicago Manufacturing Center The Chicago Manufacturing Center is a private not-for-profit consulting organization working with small and mid-sized manufacturers in the six-county Chicago area. The center offers benchmarking and assessment services that help companies identify and overcome barriers to competitiveness. CMC assists companies in designing and implementing improvement projects in such areas as: information systems and operations; product development and engineering; quality; productivity; workforce development; materials management; customer service; marketing, sales, and distribution; environmental engineering and source and waste reduction; and international business development.
Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership The Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership is part of a nationwide network composed of 78 MEP centers with 400 locations assisting smaller manufacturers to become globally competitive. DEMEP leverages federal support by teaming up with state and local organizations to address specific needs of Delaware manufacturers. DEMEP is a non profit organization providing affordable no-nonsense technical and business assistance to manufacturers throughout Delaware. Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center The Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC) is a private, non-profit economic development corporation working to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturers in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, & Philadelphia Counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The DVIRC is supported by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Science Technology & Workforce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership. DVIRC's mission is to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturers through the implementation of World Class Manufacturing practices.

Georgia Manufacturing Extension Alliance For more than 30 years, its Economic Development Institute (EDI) has been helping companies improve their productivity and quality, reduce costs, plan expansions, start new operations, and implement proven manufacturing technologies. Hudson Valley Technology Development Center Services provided by MEP centers include helping small manufacturers access information on new equipment such as automation systems, find high quality consultant advice for optimizing manufacturing systems, reduce costs by lowering waste and reducing the environmental impact of their operations, improve quality and expand markets for products, and find financing for modernization efforts.
Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center The Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center is a non-profit corporation with three regional centers, thirteen field offices and over 30 manufacturing professionals dedicated to improving the productivity and competitiveness of Illinois' small and mid-sized manufacturers.
Industrial Modernization Center, Inc. The Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) was organized in 1988 to promote, advance and enhance opportunities for technology transfer, modernization and competitiveness for industrial manufacturing companies in Central Pennsylvania. The IMC is an independent, non-profit organization that is one of seven Industrial Resource Centers located throughout Pennsylvania, and an affiliate of the U.S. Department of Commerce, NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), and is supported through the Ben Franklin Industrial Resource Center Partnership.
Iowa Manufacturing Technology Center The Iowa Manufacturing Technology Center (MTC) is a statewide network that provides technical and business assistance to small and midsized manufacturers. Field agents throughout the state meet with clients to answer questions, identify areas for improvement, and provide links to resources that companies can use to increase their productivity and competitiveness.
Lake Erie Manufacturing Extension Partnership Established in 1987, EISC is an industry-driven consortium of manufacturing companies, technology-related businesses and academic institutions dedicated to increasing the competitiveness of Ohio businesses. Our primary customer base lies in a 26-county area of northwest Ohio, however, a number of EISC's services are national in scope and companies across the country access our expertise and resources as they look for ways to positively impact their bottom line.
Long Island Forum for Technology The Long Island Forum for Technology provides direct technical assistance to Long Island manufacturers and strategic services to the high technology industry sector. LIFT is a full-fledged national Manufacturing Extension Center (MEP) and the New York State designated Technology Development Organization (TDO) for Long Island. We also provide a wide range of business programs and technical seminars to help strengthen the Long Island economy. LIFT's showcase project is the Long Island Manufacturing & Applied Engineering Incubator.
Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership The Maine MEP is part of a nationwide network of more than 70 not-for-profit centers whose sole purpose is to provide small and medium-sized businesses with the help and solutions they need to succeed. There are Centers in all 50 states, linked together through the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This makes it possible for even the smallest firms in Maine to have access to more than 2,000 manufacturing and business specialists - including the staff of the Maine MEP and their specialized knowledge about doing business in Maine. Malcomb Baldridge Award The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Improvement Act of 1987 was signed by President Reagan on August 20, 1987. The Act establishes an annual U.S. National Quality Award. Its purpose is to promote quality awareness and to publicize successful quality strategies. The Secretary of Commerce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (formerly the National Bureau of Standards) provide the leadership and management, and the private sector provides the administration, the examiners, oversight, and funding of the Award Program.
Manufacturers Resource Center Established in 1983, the Northeast Tier Ben Franklin Technology Center (BFTC) is one of four Ben Franklin Centers located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania . Ben Franklin is an economic development organization whose mission is to lead northeastern Pennsylvania to a better economic future by building partnerships that develop and apply technology for competitive advantage. We work with both start-up firms and established manufacturers in the northeast region of the state.

Maryland Technology Extension Service This site is a gateway to research, technical assistance and resources for industry at the University of Maryland.
Modernization Forum, The The Modernization Forum is a member organization dedicated to enhancing the capabilities and cooperative action of its members and other organizations that strengthen America's smaller manufacturers.
National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences is a not-for-profit collaborative research consortium of North American corporations. The largest cross-industry consortium in the United States, NCMS is backed by some 175 member companies, an annual R&D project portfolio exceeding $80 million, and a ten-year track record in the successful performance of complex, multi-partner manufacturing technology programs.
National Tooling and Machining Association The mission of the NTMA is to lead North America Precision Custom Manufacturers in achieving maximum business success by providing a center of knowledge emphasizing marketing, networking, finance, technology, education and government affairs. Precision Custom Manufacturers are defined as those companies involved in: Die building and production, Mold building and production, Precision machining, Special tooling and production, Special machine building and production, Precision fabricating, and Rapid prototyping.
Nebraska Industrial Competitiveness Service The Nebraska Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) is a cooperative effort involving government and education based service organizations that provides business and technical services to manufacturers and processors throughout the State of Nebraska.
Network for Excellence in Manufacturing The Network for Excellence in Manufacturing online (NEM Online) is a computer-based information system developed by Michigan State University and its partners to support the activities of manufacturing.
North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership Beginning as a NIST-affiliated manufacturing extension partnership in 1995, the IES Manufacturing Program brings together universities, community colleges, and government to help the state's 12,000+ small- and mid-sized manufacturers identify and implement new technology and improve management practices and productivity. North Carolina currently ranks eighth in the US both in total manufacturing employment and in value of manufactured products, but 48th in the percentage of engineers employed in the stateÕs manufacturing workforce. Therefore, many smaller North Carolina manufacturers do not have benefit of the technical support of an engineer and often are unable to keep up with developing technologies and best practices.
North Dakota Manufacturing Technology Partnership The North Dakota Manufacturing Technology Partnership (MTP) was established in 1995 as one of the manufacturing extension centers operating within the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Manufacturing Extension Partnership. The approximately 400 targeted manufacturers in the state will be able to receive direct assistance from dedicated manufacturing specialists experienced in manufacturing and will be able to access other appropriate assistance through managed referrals. Manufacturers can expect benefits from improved manufacturing processes; enhanced management skills; better business practices; research and development funding and technical assistance; expanded market opportunities; defense conversion assistance; new product development resources; better trained staff; intercompany working relationships; increased revenue; and increased profit.
Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership The OMEP works with manufacturers to identify specific needs and opportunities for improvement in overall operations. It also assists in controlling raw materials use, minizing defects and quality problems, adopting new technologies, and monitoring customer needs and concerns.
Performance Benchmarking Service (PBS) Performance Benchmarking (PB) is a six-person service of the not-for-profit Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center. We provide customized benchmarking reports to manufacturing companies, both directly and through the 78 manufacturing outreach centers affiliated with the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). Since 1992, PB has provided more than 5100 such reports, which compare companies on more than 40 metrics. Our staff has over 50 people-years of experience measuring the performance of manufacturing companies.
Rhode Island Manufacturing Extension Services The mission of the RIMES is to support smaller Rhode Island Manufacturers with low cost, high quality manufacturing technology services and resources leading to increased company competitiveness.
Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing The mission of the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI) is to develop a just-in-time, quality supply base for the Department of Defense (DoD). RCBI provides access to advanced technologies and technical training in an effort to bring small and medium-sized manufacturers to a level of sophistication necessary for them to become and remain quality suppliers to the DoD and commercial markets.
South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership The vision of the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership is to become the primary resource for South Carolina manufacturers, providing them with valuable technological, workplace, and business solutions that improve their industrial competitiveness.
Virginia's A. L. Philpott Manufacturing Center VPMEP helps manufacturers on issues ranging from improving production technologies to creating industrial marketing campaigns.
Washington Manufacturing Services Washington Manufacturing Services (WMS) is a not-for-profit organization created to deliver affordable engineering, operational, marketing, and human resource consulting services to Washington state manufacturers.
