Just the facts

After a dozen foster dogs, it was me who got to stay.
I came from Animal Control in Freemont, Ohio. My time there was running out. There was room for me at a rescue, but I needed a place to wait for a couple of weeks, so Susan and Robin took me in.
Just for a couple of weeks, mind you.
But, snow storms prevented the “hand-off” for about a month and by then, I had them hooked. They could no more let me go than they could gnaw off their own hands.
I was another one like Fox in pretty sorry shape. I was full of worms, anemic and emaciated. But, with some time, I healed and became a healthy dog.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t in the cards for me to stay healthy and I got a soft-tissue sarcoma that grew aggressively, eventually making it too hard for me to breathe. Robin and Susan made the hard to decision to let me go on Dec. 1, 2009.
I loved being part of the pack, barking at bikes and finding delicacies in the backyard to eat.
I liked ripping up magazines and books, going on walks and especially squeaky toys.
They didn’t have me long, but long enough to know that I was a very good dog.
