NEWSLETTER, END OF YEAR 1998 AND
HAPPY NEW YEAR 1999
NEXT BOARD MEETING: JANUARY 21, 1999 AT PASCO, 5:00P.M.

BUDGET

Each condo owner should have received a copy of the 1999 Budget Summary. Replacement reserves were scheduled to increase to $32,000 in 1999, but a surplus from 1998 allows us to keep the contribution to reserves at $29,500. Operating expenses for 1999 will be $101, 825 making the total budget $131,325.

Assessment fees for 1999 are as follows:

Unit type P, % ownership 1.72, 1998 fee $185.00, 1999 fee $188.00.

Unit type M, % ownership 1.90, 1998 fee $204.00, 1999 fee $208.00.

Unit type E, % ownership 1.99, 1998 fee $214.00, 1999 fee $218.00.

Unit type W, % ownership 2.06, 1998 fee $221.00, 1999 fee $225.00.

Unit type E+, % ownership 2.27, 1998 fee $244.00, 1999 fee $248.00.

Many thanks to Ted Sichler for his continuing work with the budget on behalf of us all.

WEATHER CONCERNS

Please remember to turn off your water if you are going to be gone for any extended period of time.

Many thanks to the workers at Pasco and Heritage who put forth days of back-breaking work in the cold during this 25-year snowfall event.

BRENTWOOD SQUARE NEWS

Brentwood Square has requested a modification of their previously-approved site plan to include 16 more parking spaces than originally permitted. This request is likely to be before the City of Ann Arbor Planning Commission on Thursday, January 21, 1999. Interested parties might wish to attend that meeting, 7p.m., Guy C. Larcom Building (City Hall), 100 N. Fifth Ave., in Council Chambers (second floor). Huron Chase will send individuals to represent the Board but individual condo owners should feel free to participate as well. Come to the meeting on January 21 and car-pool from the meeting down to City Hall, if you want.

POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL FOR SITE DUE SOUTH OF HURON CHASE

On Tuesday, January 12, Crosswinds (the company that developed Brentwood Square) will be before a Working Session of the City of Ann Arbor Planning Commission as a potential petitioner for developing the site due south of Huron Chase. Working Sessions are informal meetings of the Planning Commission (in contrast to the more formal televised meetings twice a month) at which potential petitioners can discuss ideas. These sessions are also open to the public. This meeting is being held at 7p.m. in the Fourth Floor Conference Room of City Hall. Feel free to go down and see what is being proposed; there is generally also time for input from the public.

WELCOME TO NEW RESIDENTS

We hope all residents, new as well as entrenched, will feel free to join us at Board meetings at Pasco. Remember, this is your Condo Association. For new residents: garbage pick-up day is Wednesday (if there is no official city holiday on Monday or Tuesday, deferring pick-up for a day). Please put your garbage out, in covered cans, no earlier than Wednesday morning. Otherwise, it may become "crow-food," scattered all over Boulder Drive. Thanks!
