Description: BACKGROUND
The mission of the AADR National Student Research Group (NSRG), a scientific group of the AADR, is to foster an environment in every dental school whereby students interested in enriching their dental education through research are encouraged to do so.  The NSRG is composed of a network of self-governing local Student Research Group (SRG) chapters at dental schools and is led nationally by officers elected through a majority of votes from all members.  Consistent with our mission, the NSRG introduces dental student researchers to current dental research through a series of research symposiums held at the AADR Annual General Session.

PURPOSE
This year the NSRG hopes to continue to introduce opportunities for students to learn from and interact with successful dental researchers through our annual student symposium.  This is a particularly special year because it is the 30th year anniversary of the NSRG.  To commemorate this event, the NSRG would like to host a discussion session with previous NSRG board members to showcase how the organization has grown over the past 30 years and to share past career experiences with future dental researchers.  This year’s symposium will feature enthusiastic and successful past NSRG board members who are passionate about their NSRG experience and still value their AADR membership.
Learning Objectives:
To commemorate the 30th year anniversary of the AADR National Student Research Group through discussion with previous NSRG board members.
To introduce opportunities for students to learn from and interact with successful dental researchers.
