Advantages

- Model may not fit
- Incomplete control of confounding (if model does not fit confounder-outcome relationship)
- Inaccurate estimates of strength of effect (if model does not fit predictor-outcome relationship)
- Results are hard to understand
- Relevant covariables must have been measured
