Ben Sinder successfully defended his PhD thesis in Biomedical Engineering today. Ben’s thesis, titled Sclerostin antibody as a treatment for osteogenesis imperfecta describes the application of sclerostin antibody, a new bone therapy being developed for osteoporosis, towards the pediatric bone disease, osteogenesis imperfecta. Ben’s work has been featured in various journals, at the Orthopaedic Research Society and American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, and other research forums. Following his defense, Ben will begin a post-doctoral research fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Laurie McCauley at the University of Michigan Dental School.
