SPEECS Seminar

Overview

We have two goals for this seminar:

  1. Provide a forum for students to interact and discuss various signal processing problems.
  2. Provide a venue for students to practice their presentation skills and receive peer feedback on their current/past research projects.

We aim to meet these goals via a weekly seminar where students from EE, CSE, Statistics and other departments present their work in an informal setting among other students. Food is generously provided by the faculty in the signal processing area. Please fill out this survey before each meeting to RSVP for food. See the full details in the original announcement.

This is a learning experience for everyone, so please be kind. By sharing our unique perspectives in good faith, we can collectively improve the quality of our research while building a strong community. However, disrespect or malicious criticism is antithetical to this goal, and will not be tolerated.

We have no intention to film and publicly release presentations. However, presenters may record their own presentation if they want to.

Meeting

We will meet biweekly on Mondays from 12-1:30 PM in EECS 2311 (30 minutes to eat, 60 minutes to present). Note that the first meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 17th in BBB 3901 because of MLK Jr. Day. See this page for a map of where to go.

Information about specific meetings can be found on the presentations page. A Google calendar version of the schedule can be viewed/added using this link.
