In preparation for "Take Your Child to School/Visit Your Child in School" Day, the National African American Parent Involvement Day Committee is calling upon all tutors to do the following:

Make a commitment on the number of students and the amount of time you are available to tutor.
Tutor students in the area of your competence.
Maintain an open and honest relationship with each student -- one that is supportive of their family and school.
Maintain frequent communication with the student's parents/guardians regarding the tutorial process.
Maintain a trusting and professional relationship with student and family.
Follow through with your commitment to the student.
Confer with parents/guardians on where and when tutorial services will take place.
