There is a necropolis called Fengdu modelled after the Chinese
Hell in Taoist mythology, built over 1800 years ago.
The famous ghost town became an island after the Three Gorges Dam
project.
Part of the ghost town of Fengdu was submerged, but
scenery above the "Door of Hell" remained, and the ghost city was
reconstructed.
