Involvement was synonymous with hard work, determination, camaraderie, pushing through pain, and a great deal of discipline. Throughout my college years, and particularly because I was a student-athlete, I became quite good at multi-tasking, concentrating, and prioritizing. These same skills were transferable and especially helpful when I pursued graduate school and began my professional life as a college administrator.
