My sophomore
year I qualified for event finals
for my first time. I was nervous yet
excited to compete. I don't even really
remember actually doing the floor
routine! The part that I do remember
is the short moment that followed.
I had just finished what was one of
my best routines of all time. I looked
up into the audience and saw screaming
teammates, superfans, and parents!
Everyone was cheering and chanting
and holding signs. At that moment
I felt very proud and fortunate to
be a part of such a loving and supportive
group of people. That moment made
me realize that my small puny accomplishment
was a part of something much bigger!
I realized that my being out on that
floor was a team work effort. Without
my team and the parents, and Rishi
and his superfans, my All-American
accomplishment would have meant nothing
squat!! |

I have
recently moved to Los Angeles where
I live with my sister, Tara. I have
joined the Screen Actors Guild and
am pursuing a career in acting and
performing arts. I also work as a
personal fitness trainer which is
an exciting way to share all of the
fitness knowledge I've learned through
the sport of gymnastics! |
