Through
my involvement with Michigan gymnastics,
I was able to experience what a difference
having a dedicated team can make.
In my four years as a part of the
team, it grew from a team that was
perennially at the bottom of the Big
Ten to a team that earned two conference
titles and finished in the top 10
at nationals. As freshmen, we set
a team goal that we wouldn't graduate
without winning a Big Ten championship.
We had a very close team and were
able to lean on each other for motivation
and support. At times we encountered
obstacles, but we continued to work
hard and never lost sight of our goals.
My teammates are still some of my
closest friends, and are still a source
of motivation and support. If I ever
need a reminder that anything is possible,
I can remember my time at Michigan
and know that with perseverance, hard
work, and the right attitude, you
can achieve anything. |
