Q & A - About Gymnastics and U-M
At what age did you start
gymnastics? |
|
7 |
How did you become involved
in gymnastics? |
|
My parents got tired of me
hanging all over the house and climbing on
everything so they put me in a class |
What is your favorite event?
Why? |
|
Floor, I love performing
and having my own music |
|
|
|
What attracted you
to the University of Michigan? |
|
The tradition of the
school and its athletics as well as the team
and how close they were |
What is it like competing
for U-M? |
|
It is a dream come from,
it is hard to explain but it is an incomparable
feeling to know you represent Michigan and
that tradition. |
What has been your
most memorable (gymnastics) moment at U-M? |
|
Winning the Big Ten team
title my freshman year. |
What has been your
most memorable (non-gymnastics) moment at
U-M? |
|
Seeing the basketball
team beat MSU. |
|
|
|
What inspires you to keep
going after a disappointing meet or a tough
week of practice? |
|
Knowing that not everything
is going to be perfect all the time. Knowing
it takes more character to keep on pushing
through a bad time than to ride the wave when
things are good. |
What advice would you share
with up-and-coming gymnasts who aspire to
be like you or one of your teammates? |
|
Give it all that you have
in everything you do. Respect everyone. Have
pride in what you do and always enjoy it. |
