Shawna started doing Irish dance as a Junior at the University of
Michigan. She saw Léim perform and thought, "I could do
that", emailed them that night, and got information on how to join.
She has since proven herself to be an excellent Irish Dancer and this year has decided to try her hand at choreography. Her greatest challenge in doing so: trying to teach a bunch of people that don't dance with their arms the art of booty shaking. Yes, thats right. Shawna thinks that she can teach us how to hip-hop dance. A bunch of Irish Dancers. Hip-Hop dance. Wish her luck, folks.
She is currently on her victory lap majoring in Psychology
and Women's Studies. Shawna's future plans include going to professional school and getting her PsyD., and
then working as a clinical psychologist helping women in crisis
situations.
