Could YOU stay cool if you just failed a big test?

  1. You are feeling angry at everything and everyone. It is their fault you failed. You feel like a loser and want to take it out on someone else. Before you do, think about what could happen if you go off. What will happen if you get caught?
  2. Do something to make you feel better about yourself. Think about the things you are good at.
  3. Think about the people who love you. Think about how they would feel if you get into trouble, get hurt.

  1. Tell yourself "I am good at these other things. No one is good at everything."
  2. Find someone who can help you make a plan to do better next time. Talk to your teacher, your counselor, an older sibling about a tutor.
  3. Find a friend and do something fun to take your mind off feeling down.
