               This variable defines the TIME and TYPE of each state
               primary or caucus

                    1. Early Primary States: Occurring March 13th or
                       earlier-- NH, RI, MA, AL, GA, FL

                    2. Late Primary States: Occuring on June 5th--
                       CA, NJ, NM, SD, WVA

                    3. Early Caucus States: Occurring on March 17th
                       or earlier-- IN, NV, OK, WA, DE, ND, AK, KY,
                       MI, MD, SC

                    4. All other states not mentioned above
