Ann Arbor, MI- Michigan once again started off strong as they jumped out to an early 4-goal lead. Although Michigan was playing the game short-handed, without five of their rostered players, they managed to play an efficient game.
Throughout the first half, the Wolverines put on a dominating offensive performance as they scored 11 goals. They had two players, Ellen Manson and Julianne Patterson with hat tricks. To go along with their scoring, Michigan played solid defense, not allowing the Chippewas to have many scoring chances.
The Wolverines continued to play great defense and controlled time of possession in the second half of the game, once again only allowing one goal. However, Michigan’s scoring did cool off quite a bit as they only convered three goals. It was a solid performance for Michigan overall.
Michigan will try to continue to improve over the next few weeks; given, their next game is on March 16 against Western Michigan University.
