Boulder, CO- In the last game of the Mile High Invitational, both teams were looking for a big win. Both teams played hard and fought to win but only one could walk off the field a victor, and today that was the Colorado Buffaloes.
Michigan and Colorado traded the first six goals of the game, resulting in a 3-3 tie at half. Colorado controlled the time of possession throughout the first half. However, great play by the Michigan defense kept them at bay.
Colorado pulled away in the second half with a 5-0 run to take an 8-3 lead. Michigan was able to finish the game on a 4-1 run, but it was not enough overcome the five goal deficit. The big advantage for Colorado was their ability to win groundballs and draws.
Michigan will look to learn from this weekend and make some adjustments throughout the week in practice before hitting the road again, playing in Akron, OH next weekend.
