Michigan suffers a tough loss to Georgia

Santa Barbara, CA- The Michigan Wolverines played a fast and physical Georgia Bulldog team. It took Michigan some time to find their stride in the game; unfortunately Georgia came out gunning from the start.
Georgia jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. From there they continued to use their speed on defense and great play by the goalie to take a 7-2 lead into halftime. The first half draws were heavily in Georgia’s favor.
In the second half, the draws continued to go Georgia’s way. However, the Wolverines picked up their intensity and, arguably, outplayed the Bulldogs. Yet, even though Michigan outscored the Bulldogs 6-5 in the second half, it was not enough to make up the big lead Georgia took into halftime.
After suffering their first loss of the season, Michigan looks to rebound tomorrow as they play their final game in Santa Barbara against host, UC-Santa Barbara.
