Michigan gets a convincing win in make-up against Oakland University

Ann Arbor, MI- Early on in the game the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies appeared like they were going to give the Michigan Wolverines some trouble. Although Michigan had the lead and never gave it up, the Grizzlies were determined to hang around. Michigan started the game strong as they have throughout their recent stretch of home games. They managed to obtain a 6-1 lead on great defense and overall team play. However, Oakland turned up the intensity and managed a 4-3 run to make the score 9-5 at the half.

The Wolverines came out of halftime and scored 8 unanswered goals to take a 17-5 lead, before Oakland scored their only goal of the second half, off a free position. From there Michigan scored 2 more goals to reach the game’s final score.
Michigan will look to build off their defensive and goaltending performance as they have some time off before they head to Colorado for the Mile High Tournament.
