HISTORY:
Due to an increase in the number of girls interested in playing lacrosse at the University of Michigan, the B team was started during the 2008-2009 school year. Currently the team is in its fifth season. The team has grown extensively over the past several years, so much so that tryouts have been held for the last 3 years. Last fall over forty girls came to tryouts. This was a big, positive step for the team.

ABOUT THE TEAM:
This year the head coach is David McKinnon. It is his first season coaching the Michigan B team. Typically practices are held twice a week and most of the games are on the weekends. We travel regionally to places like Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and across Michigan. We are a member of the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League, WCLL, and play in the Northeast region of Division II. This year, we look forward to participating in the Big Ten Tournament hosted by Purdue. Our main season is during the winter semester, practiceing January through April and during the fall semester we play one month of "fall ball" in October. |
