How to get from ... to ...?
These pages provide basic directions between the intercity-transportation hubs (such as airports and intercity-rail stations) in Chicago and Los Angeles. In all cases, one can get between the two points by rail transit (or express bus) with no more than one transfer. In many cases, rail transit is also the fastest option (not to mention the cheapest). If you decide to take a taxi instead, think twice - typically this does not save you any time despite costing you a lot (unlike trains, taxis sit in the same traffic where everybody else does). Directions below are very simple, and - don't worry - you will not get lost, even if this is your first time in Chicago or Los Angeles. Make sure you print all the maps from the appropriate page below before you begin your trip. Have a pleasant journey!
