The University of Michigan conducts official course evaluations of all courses it offers.  These evaluations are available to all students taking each class at the end of each semester, and they are completely anonymous (but authenticated, so that each student can submit only one evaluation of any given course they take, and no outside students can influence the process).  Below you can find summaries of typical student responses to the open-ended evaluations’ question “Please comment on the effectiveness of this instructor” from three different years (two semesters each year).  Only the responses with specifics, details, or examples were selected.  There are literally dozens of pages of similar responses with less or no detail.
