About
Established in 1858, the Xi Chapter of Zeta Psi Fraternity is one of
the oldest and most storied Greek houses on the campus of the
University of Michigan. Today’s Xi Chapter strives to uphold the
traditions and values that trace back to Zeta Psi’s founding at New
York University in 1847. Zeta Psi takes pride in each of its
chapters, establishing chapters at only the highest caliber of
universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom,
and taking care to ensure that these chapters are populated by men
of the highest quality, those who truly understand what it means to
be a “Zete.”
Zeta Psi aims to enrich the lives
of university students beyond their normal undergraduate education.
Through the establishment of an environment that promotes social
learning and exposure to a vast array of diverse experiences and
viewpoints, we attempt to "...turn out into the world
self-respecting, original-thinking, self-controlled, purposeful
gentlemen.”
Zeta Psi takes great pride in our history, maintaining the honor of being the first bi-coastal
fraternity, the first international fraternity, the first fraternity
with a presence at each Ivy League campus, and the first and only
fraternity in Europe with a chapter at Oxford University.
Zetes are leaders, on campus and in their communities. Zetes are
scholars, prioritizing learning in and outside of the classroom
while maintaining the ambition to become better men. But most of
all, Zetes are brothers, in the deepest sense of the word. We put a
great deal of effort and commitment into choosing the right members,
and the men who we believe demonstrate the qualities necessary to
carry on the vision and values of our founders. We invite you to
explore this website and visit our house in order to find out a
little more about who we are. For those of you who may be interested
in joining our brotherhood, please attend our recruitment events and
give us a chance to learn a little more about you.
