The Michigan Pops Orchestra is the only student-run and student-directed orchestra at the University of Michigan and the oldest collegiate pops orchestra in the United States. The Orchestra is comprised of approximately 100 students from all colleges at the University. Auditions are open to any U-M students and are held every fall in September. The Michigan Pops was founded in 1995 by Warren Hsu, a U-M student who was committed to enhancing musical diversity across campus.
