Session 9

In this session Merlin's killer is found, the attacker of Simon's home shadow is identified, and Jade succeeds in stealing the Jewel of Judgement.

Quinn Scene 1 - Castle Amber

Quinn talks to Vialle. Then she looks for Simon, but doesn't find him. Quinn talks to Mandor.

Jessica Scene 2 - Castle Amber Simon

Jessica is training her troops. Simon arrives at the gates of the Castle. Jessica spots him and asks him if he'd like to join the drills. Simon makes an excuse in bids Jessica farewell. The troops are getting a little bit tired and moral is beginning to drop. A few men complain that they need to attend to their businesses instead of training. Jessica lectures the troops about the importance of their mission. The speach does some good, but when Benedict shows up the troops really shape up. Jessica and Benedict take a long walk to discuss the training as the troops follow at a march.

Scene 3 - Castle Amber Simon

Simon returns to his room and finds a note from Quinn. He spends half an hour attempting to open Trump contact with Sand to no avail. Afterwards he goes to Quinn's room, but finds it vacant. He leaves a reply note on her door.

Konstantin Scene 4 - Jade's Lab


Connie draws a Trump of Jade and goes to have lunch with her. MORE

Scene 5 - Futureworld Locke

Locke and Martin hellride in search of a G.E.V. They cross rocky terrain, esert, and steppe. Eventually they come to a burnt out post-apocalyptic one-time metropolis. They find a massive tank/garbage crusher. They follow the tank into an alley where it messily devours a pedestrian. They put a plan into action in which Martin sacrifices his bike and acts as bait for the tank. Locke rides up onto the tank and rips open the hatch. He jumps inside and kills the driver just in the nick of time. Locke and Martin hellride back into the tank.

Quinn Scene 6 - Castle Amber Simon

Quinn gets permission from Random to search the private rooms of the castle to find Frakir. She also speaks to Gerard and Caine. Caine invites Quinn to diner.
Quinn locates Simon. She tells him about her plan to search the castle and asks for his magical assistance. They discuss the interference that has hampered their magical and Pattern based attempts to locate Frakir. Quinn plans to home-in on the source of the interference. Simon suggests a spell which will peer into the future and tell her if she finds Frakir and where. Once again there is much interference, but Simon does get a picture of Quinn saying to Mandor "Who's symbol is that?" Maddeningly, Simon cannot view the symbol.
Quinn begins her search with Simon standing guard. They cover the rooms of Random, Llewella, Nathaniel, Flora, and Merlin with no sign of Frakir or the mysterious interference.

Jessica Scene 7 - Castle Amber

Jessica has dinner with Mandor.

Konstantin Scene 8 - Jasra's Castle

Connie goes Trumps to Jasra, who is suspicious that Connie is not who he claims to be, but Jasra relaxes after determining Connie is the genuine artical. Connie raids Brand's library.

Scene 9 - Futureworld Locke

Locke and Martin return to Rico's bungalo and present him with the tank. Rico is very pleased. He tells Locke where to find the Cryo Center. Before they leave Martin put the squeeze on Rico and shakes him down - Martin's motives and purpose unknown. At the cryo center Locke locates a functional cryo tube. Martin finds a fusion battery which should serve as a power source. As Locke is hooking it up he is hit in the head from behind and knocked out.

Quinn Konstantin Scene 10 - Castle Amber Simon

Connie Trumps to Simon while he and Quinn are searching. Connie relates his experiences in Tirnanog, and Jasra's Castle. Simon is called to the defense of his shadow, so Connie takes over as Quinn's guard and the searching continues.

Scene 11 - Plymouth Simon

Simon's home shadow is once again under attack by Chaos. Bleys Trumps Simon to the Great Tower at Plymouth. Hordes of Chaos troop and demons have surrounded the fortress and most of the outlying parts of the city. Simon surveys the situation tactically and finds it to be close to hopeless. He decides to go to the source of the trouble and try to stop whichever Logrus sorceror is leading this attack. Bleys stays at the Tower to help Aurthur organize the defense. Simon casts a spell of Levitation and another to cloak his location, but the illusion is overwhelmed by the large number of onlookers. Simon is attacked by and cripples several winged gargolye creatures on his way to the dark storm. Upon reaching there he meets Jurt who taunts Simon and prepares to destroy him while Simon gets a good long look at the man. Simon escapes by Trumping to Castle Amber before Jurt can assault him.

Quinn Konstantin Scene 12 - Castle Amber Simon

Simon Trumps to Connie and passes him the image of the Chaosite who is leading the attack. Mandor identifies the attacker as Jurt. Simon asks Connie to draw a Trump sketch of Jurt. While Connie is drawing Quinn and Mandor leave to continue their seach of the castle. Simon and Connie use the new sketch to try to Trump Jurt, but they can not. Simon try to Trump Bleys but can not get through to him either. Connie leaves to find an elder to help them Trump Jurt, while Simon keeps trying on his own.

Quinn Scene 13 - Castle Amber

Quinn and Mandor seach several rooms. Eventually they end up in Corwin's room where they find Luke's cuffs, but no Luke.

Konstantin Scene 14 - Castle Amber

Connie find Frakir and Martin. Martin kicks Connie in the head and knocks him out.

Quinn Jessica Scene 15 - Castle Amber Simon

Quinn Trumps Random to inform him of Luke's escape. Random Trumps Gerard and calls for Jessica. Jessica tries to Trump Connie, but there is no response. Quinn and Jessica go to Mandor's room in search of Connie, but find Simon deep in concentration trying to Trump Jurt. They leave him and go back to Mandor who has located a box (the source of the interference) and a Logrus dagger in Martin's room. Jessica goes back to snap Simon out of it and tell him that Martin killed Merlin. Just then a guard bursts in saying that they've located Luke. Simon and Jessica rush to the scene, Random's room, passing unconsious guards along the way. They enter the room to find Vialle and Flora knocked out and Jade jumping out the window with the Jewel of Judgement. They are too late to stop her. Simon wakes Flora and Vialle while Jessica Trumps Connie. This time she contacts him, but the connection is quickly broken by Martin.

Scene 16 - Futureworld Locke

Locke wakes up in a cryo chamber. He kicks at the glass, but it holds. Dispite the drugs and the cold he clings to conciousness long enough to crack the glass, but not to break it. Soon he lapses back into un conciousness.

Konstantin Scene 17 - The Great Plains

After waking up on a trail, receiving Jessica's Trump call, and quickly getting knocked out again by Martin, Connie wakes up at a campfire. Luke shows up try to save the day.
