Hinderances to Devotional Prayer

    1. Ignorance regarding the different kinds/types of prayer and their purpose/function.
    2. The relational side of task orientation.
    3. The intimate side of relational orientation.
    4. The nature of all relationships.
    5. The progressive nature of maturity.
    6. Devotional prayer teaching (and devotional prayer practice) by those with a different motivational gift/personality/temperament.
    7. Prayer modeling.
    8. Priority.
  2. Lack of experience and practice.
  3. Lack of habit.
  4. Past points of failure(s).
    1. False guilt.
      1. Never enough.
      2. Not effective enough.
    2. B. Real guilt and discipleship issues.
      1. Laziness/apathy/disobedience.
