The Secret Place: "Renewing Devotional Practices" |
|
 |
 |
|
- The secret place is meant to be a place of privacy with the Lord (Mat 6:5,6).
- The secret place is a place of interaction and foundational strength (Psalm 25:14).
- Consulting: coming to consult with Him; coming for counsel. It is two people entering into counseling chambers to determine direction, to discuss answers.
- To found; not just the beginning or start of a project, but in the sense of a bridge being founded on bedrock.
- The secret place is a place of dividing up and dispersing what is being "stored up" (Mat 6:5,6).
- The secret place is meant to be lifebegetting (Psalm 91: 1; Lu 1:34,5).
- The secret place is meant to be a place of sharing intimacy (Zeph 3:17). Strength and creative doings will come from those who know God intimately (Dan 11:32).
- To know, learn to know; and to be made known, be or become known.
- To make oneself known, reveal oneself
- To know by experience.
- The secret place is meant to be preventative in nature (Mark 14:378).
- The secret place is meant to be a place of refuge and sanctuary for your soul from the storms of life (Psalm 31:20; Psalm 27:5; Psalm 61:4; Psalm 91: 1).
