Intensity estimates for the stellar lines come from the second column, which gives the central intensity of the lines. Thus strong lines have a small value for this number. The laboratory lines have intensity estimates from various sources. When the multiplet tables were used, the multiplet numbers are indicated following the spectral designation, e.g. Ti II-1 means a line of singly ionized titanium in multiplet number 1. Intensities from NBS Monograph 145 are given in parenthesis [Dy II (210) is a line of Dy II with intensity 210 in Meggers, Corliss, and Scribner]; some parenthesized intensities are from Reader and Corliss (1980). Other identifications have been made from predicted line depths. These are also given in parentheses, but the figure is preceeded by a decimal point. These predictions are based on assumed abundances from the study by Cowley, Ryabchikova, et al., and the line depths were calculated for each line individually, with no other lines taken into account.
The IP (intensity parameters) are log(gf)-0.5*Chi(eV), except that sometimes I have added a constant to make the number positive. The values are consistent within a given spectrum, but not necessarily from one to another.
All laboratory wavelengths for lines with predicted depths [e.g. 3047.75 Cr II (.358)] are from VALD.
An asterisk after an intensity indicates two close labortory lines; the reader must inquire further to decide how to attribute the stellar absorption.
A plus sign indicates that an additional contributor is suspected either because the wavelength is not quite right, or the intensity seems wrong.
