    Perhaps a fix...

The folks on the comments side of things believe there's a javascript conflict, so I remarked-out the sitemeter stuff and that seems to have done the trick. I'll play with getting them both to work at a later date.

Oh, and thanks to Mr. Allen for this:

    Flagrant Error!?!

Well, the comments are broken here again. We'll see if I get any response from the support people.

In the meantime, I'll double-post anything to My LiveJournal to fulfill your burning needs to comment on my dumbass posts.

    RIP

Wesley Willis died the other day. He was 40 years old.

    Details

    Rock over London
    Rock on Chicago
    Rest in peace, Wes.

    This is a New Post!

"Why has Friend Dwinn been so quiet?" you might ask.

Well, because of my friends Lovsan, Nachi, and SoBig.F, of course.

Work has been ridiculous. We're setting daily call records for the last 3 years, and students haven't even come back to campus yet. Your average end user won't be bother to run windows update, see, and all the virii above (save SoBig) exploit holes in Windows. SoBig is more of an irritant in terms of network traffic, but it's not helping matters any. Add it all up and there's really not a ton of free time there, when I'm at my work machine, to collect my thoughts and post.

Nothing horribly exciting has been happening other than that. I have some rehabilitation exercises for my sore foot ligament that have been inconclusive so far. Allegedly a tornado was on its way to level Ann Arbor. I need to fix (i.e. apply duct tape to) the dryer vent. I'm playing a lot of Puzzle Pirates -- thanks Dann! I set up our fantasy football league successfully (well, as far as I know).

Well, with that out of the way, it's off to bed!

    Me and Achilles

I'm going to the doctor this Thursday. What happened is that about four or so weeks ago I began feeling pain in my left heel as I got out of bed each morning. Lately the pain is becoming more intense and I feel it throughout the day. Walking in bare feet is becoming aggravating.

I had suspected that it might be a heel spur but it's probably an advanced case of Plantar Fasciitis. Which, if untreated, may end up as a heel spur.

It's a little daunting. I mean, it's not like I'm out running miles or jumping up and down a lot, so I fear the recovery stage may take a long, long time.

    Weekend

This Satruday we had some folks over for barbeque/ birthday stuff. There were several factors in whether this was going to work out or not. At several points the sky threatened to drop rain on us, but luckily it held off in our neighborhood. My grill is not the largest barbeque in the world, but it was able to handle a big load of sausage and hotdogs, so no one went wanting. Plus, people brought their own tofuburgers and steaks and such -- including some really nice NY strip steaks that Mr.Boss gave me for my beefday -- and so I think everyone was more than adequately fed.

It will be good to move into a house in the future, since when everyone came inside we had filled the place to capacity. Luckily the Fuller clan brought spare folding chairs to help out. Even with the air running full blast, though, the townhouse got toasty (and I guess that's a running tradition, thinking back on past bidets). Everyone seemed to have fun tho -- you can check out the Livejournal Friends page for various takes on things.

Sunday we made our way out to my folks' for birthday stuff for the both of us. We had good cake, I got my requisite socks, drawers, and electric toothbrush, plus some other cool things. We (well, Julie) got harangued by my grandmother about not producing any great-grandchildren for her yet, but hey, these things take time!

Today Darcy brought in her baby, which promptly barfed up milk. I can't wait!

    Bidet 29

Well, another birthday come and gone. I gotsta thank the homies for all their well-wishes and gifts, and the Julie for putting up with everything for yet another year. I got plenty of books and GBA games to keep me occupied for a good long while.

Thanks and much love to all.
