    Update

Now that I have a few moments to think between people's virus issues...

Saturday I attended LEGO Party 6. I wasn't feeling particularly creative, so I just put together a few boxed sets. Later, we got a game of Catan started up that went into the wee hours of the morning -- everyone finished with 8 or 9 points (save the winner who had, of course, 10). I got home and crawled into bed.

Sunday I did chores, finally brought in the grill, and then played in a little NL Holdem tourney, placing 3 out of 8. I played well, but not enough to be in the money. On my last hand Dann raised me about half my money after a 2-6-8 rainbow flop. I, holding Ac8c, went all-in, and he called me with 3-8 offsuit. Of course, he catches a 3 on the turn. But I can't complain -- he's the guru, and Laura, who placed second, played especially well.

Monday I went to an early dentist appointment (no cavities!), then bought some new doctor-approved tennis shoes, some new jeans, discount calendars, and the copy of Gotham Central that had been eluding me, and then I worked. Crashed last night, came in early and staying late to cover for some sick/family leave/jury duty people, answered lots o' virus questions, and now I'm going home.

    Update

This weekend was NFL Conference Championships. Niether of the teams I would have liked to advanced to the Super Bowl won, but it'll be good to root for the underdog, Carolina. Sadly, I have a feeling that they're going to pull a 1998 Atlanta Falcons and get blown out of Houston.

I've shaken all of the sickness that hounded me eariler this month, but I do have a very low-level sore throat happening. It hasn't gotten any worse, which is good -- it's mostly an annoyance, especially early mornings.

I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing lately, and I took my character to visit the towns that Dann and Mer had created. Now I have all the fruit!

As you might be able to tell, there ain't a ton going on over on this end, which is just fine.

    2004 Tried To Kill Me

Happy New Year. On January 2 Dann and I went out to hit the last Wizards store open in Michigan before the whole chain closed. Later that night I got real cold all the sudden and jumped into bed, shivering.

When I woke up, I felt as if I'd ben run over by a truck. My head was ready to explode and I couldn't swallow without searing hell-pains. That's how I spent the next three days or so, before the doctor was able to issue me some horse pills for my sinus infection. Oh, and my ears plugged up so I could barely hear anything, and I was as weak as a little girl.

I think at one point I woke up in the middle of the night and begged Julie to kill me, but I can't remember now.

But I'm better now, and thus back at work. Hooray!
